House prices across the UK are incredibly varied, with value falling in some areas and rising in others. However, it’s the northern powerhouse dominating the headlines again, as Manchester and Liverpool are both enjoying huge booms in property prices.

Purchasing property is the single most popular long-term investment for most Brits, but it’s evident that buying a house in one area could see you lose cash, while others might see the value of your money skyrocket.

Those looking to invest in London and the South East are unlikely to see huge returns on their investments over the next few years, but in towns like Manchester and Liverpool property experts suggest that homeowners, investors and buy-to-let landlords stand to make a huge profit.

Experts in the industry have revealed the Northern cities are set for a huge amount of growth, with Manchester expected to see an enormous 28.2 per cent price growth, with Liverpool not far behind at 22.3 per cent.

These figures hugely supersede the current growth figures for house prices in London, expected to be at just 12.9%.

Whilst this is fantastic news for those living and investing in the north-west, estate and letting agents are also set for a business boom as the rise in house prices drives activity across the industry.

It is expected that the demand to buy and sell property will create a need for many agents to employ new staff, as both property sales and lettings are set to become busier than ever.

Property recruiters are expecting 2018 to be their busiest year so far, with the demand for experienced property professionals currently so high across the Manchester and Liverpool regions. This is great news for talented candidates seeking new property jobs in Manchester and Liverpool.
