Liverpool’s property and architecture industries continue to thrive, with an array of new projects and developments in the works to meet the ever-rising demand. One of the latest examples of this comes in the form of approved plans for a new mixed-use development on Rose Lane, Mossley Hill.
Liverpool City Council have granted approval for the ‘Roseville Place’ development, which is designed to provide a mix of residential and commercial space. The new structure will house a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments, to make up nine apartment spaces overall, with the ground floor being utilised for the commercial endeavors.
The location has been cited as attractive for future residents and investors due to the proximity to local shops and amenities as well as the excellent transport links, making it ‘desirable and well-connected’.
The design of this new building has been pulled out as a point of focus, with an emphasis on delivering ‘modern accommodation that is accessible, energy efficient, and designed to meet the needs of all residents’. This is reflected in the accessibility elements mapped into the building’s design, with a wheelchair accessible apartment and lift access to all floors.
From an environmental perspective, the building will include secure cycle storage and electric vehicle charging points to encourage more environmentally friendly travel (alongside the aforementioned strong public transport links).
The project is set to be overseen by Falconer Chester Hall, who pride themselves on ‘project design with the same balance of creative and commercial flair’ to ‘create buildings that are both visually distinguished and commercially viable.’
Falconer Chester Hall has stated that ‘this approval is an important step forward for the site.’ They have also highlighted that they are ‘excited to see the plans become a reality’ and that ‘the development will deliver new homes, support local business activity, and transform a prominent but underused corner into a building that makes a positive contribution to Rose Lane and the surrounding area.’
