Demand for high-quality property in Liverpool has skyrocketed over the years as more people than ever before are looking to live, work, and invest in the city. An array of residential projects have sprung up in the city in this year alone, especially in key areas such as Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle and near Liverpool’s Waterfront.
A new example of this is the appointment of Redwing, a Liverpool-based property agency for a project in the heart of the Baltic Triangle. Redwing have been appointed by developers Davos Developments to oversee Simpson House, which is a new structure featuring 30 premium apartments in a build-to-rent model. They will be responsible for the management of marketing, lettings, and in-house property management.
Davos Property Developments is a Liverpool property company owned by well-known Home Bargain’s millionaire Tom Morris, and Simpson House represent the first residential scheme from the organisation designed to play into the wider investment programme focused on the city’s regeneration.
The Simpson House structure is due to be completed this November and will feature studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments to make up 30 apartments in the building overall. The décor of the properties has been designed as ‘an industrial-chic aesthetic that reflects the creative energy of Liverpool’s renowned Baltic Triangle.’
The ’industrial chic’ will be reflected in design features such as black fixtures, quartz worktops and brushed metal details, all of which will be blended into the original warehouse architecture. There will also be premium finishes to the living spaces for residents such as integrated appliances.
The location of the property will also act as a drawn for potential residents, situated in the heart of one of Liverpool’s most desirable areas. Residents will be able to benefit from an array of vibrant local businesses in the area too, covering everything from rooftop bars and live music venues to independent coffee shops.
Such a premium design for the building means great things for architecture jobs in Liverpool and property jobs in Liverpool too. It is also a testament to how much of a boom the local economy has gone through in the past decade in the Baltic Triangle area. The demand for luxury properties in an area that had previously been all but abandoned is a clear example of the city’s continued evolution.
Director of Operations at Redwing, Michelle Brooks, has stated that ‘Simpson House represents a new benchmark for renting in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle. With Davos Developments, we’re bringing homes to market that combine high quality design with character and an unbeatable location – offering tenants a lifestyle that reflects the energy of the area.’
Brooks also went on to highlight that ‘the strong early interest we’ve seen is a testament to the quality of these homes and effectiveness of our marketing strategy. We expect these to let quickly and look forward to welcoming our first residents this year.’
Simpson House is the perfect example of how Liverpool’s rental market has continued to shift over the years. It is a clear indicator that premium properties are in high demand, particularly in key areas such as the Baltic Triangle. It is positive to see so many local organisations leaned in on this project, and we look forward to seeing similar collaborations in the future.
